Masonite®

The Masonite Corporation produced a variety of composition siding and roof covering materials over the years. When connecting to their website today, however, you will find they have gotten out of that business. Some of the products they produced are known as Masonite®, Omniboard®, and Woodruff®. The latter is a synthetic roof covering material.

As you can see there are a lot of instruction sheets available for the Masonite® siding products. We have also provided copies of the two, main, notices of class action suits relative to both types of siding material. We also obtained one type of homeowner maintenance document.

We do not have any Masonite® or Omniboard® specific photographs to show you. Please note our comments in the Cladwood section of this site relative to the use of Masonite® panel products. The Masonite® panel products can be identified by observing the molded grooves in the face of the material. The grooves will be smooth and not have the demonstrated roughness common to the LP Inner Seal panel. Masonite® is differentiated from Cladwood® products by the absence of the unique LP siding manufacturer’s insignia.
