This is the fourth in a 9 part series of COST ESTIMATE GUIDES, to assist you in your negotiations. Remember, 2-3 contractor bids should always be done before the work begins for total accuracy.
The following costs are intended as ball park estimates for typical three bedroom home. The costs have been categorized by type of job. Where appropriate, typical life expectancies are included in parenthesis. The figures for life expectancy and cost are based on this area. In other areas, these figures may differ. The life expectancy of some components will vary with the severity of weather in the region. The design, quality of installation and level of maintenance can also drastically affect life expectancy. The figures include labor and materials.
